    Terms of Service for ReceptionHallRentals.com (Customers/Guests)

    Welcome to ReceptionHallRentals.com! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services as a Customer ("Guest"). By accessing or using ReceptionHallRentals.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

    1. Acceptance of Terms

    By creating an account or making a booking through ReceptionHallRentals.com, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms, whether or not you become a registered user. These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and ReceptionHallRentals.com.

    2. Services Offered

    ReceptionHallRentals.com provides an online platform that allows venues ("Hosts") to list their spaces for rent, and for customers ("Guests") to browse, book, and pay for venue rentals through our online booking calendar. ReceptionHallRentals.com does not own or operate the venues listed on the site. We act solely as an intermediary to facilitate bookings between Hosts and Guests.

    3. Eligibility

    You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use our services. By using ReceptionHallRentals.com, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

    4. Account Registration and Security

    • Account Creation: To access certain features of the site, you may be required to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
    • Account Confidentiality: You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify ReceptionHallRentals.com immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the confidentiality of your account information.

    5. Guest-Specific Terms

    • Booking and Payment: Guests can book venues through our online calendar and make payments via our secure payment gateway. By confirming a booking, you agree to pay the total amount specified, including the rental price and any applicable taxes or fees.
    • Promotional Discounts: From time to time, ReceptionHallRentals.com may offer promotional discounts on bookings. Any such discounts will be clearly applied at the time of booking and reflected in the total price payable by the Guest.
    • Guest Responsibilities: As a Guest, you agree to:
      • Treat the venue and its property with respect.
      • Comply with all rules and regulations set by the Host.
      • Leave the venue in a clean and tidy condition.
      • Communicate promptly and respectfully with the Host.
      • Be responsible for any damages caused to the venue during your booking.
    • Cancellations and Refunds: Cancellation policies are set by individual Hosts. Please review the Host's specific cancellation policy before booking. ReceptionHallRentals.com will process refunds in accordance with the Host's policy and our own refund processing guidelines.
      Note: Stripe's payment processing fee is non-refundable in all circumstances.

    6. Payments and Financial Terms

    • Payment Gateway: ReceptionHallRentals.com uses Stripe and other third-party payment processors to facilitate transactions. By using our services, you agree to be bound by the terms of service of our payment processors.
    • Non-Refundable Stripe Payment Processing Fee: Please note that Stripe's payment processing fee is non-refundable in all circumstances, including cancellations and refunds. Only the venue’s cancellation policy and refund amount will be processed; Stripe’s payment processing fee will not be returned.
    • Taxes: You are responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable tax laws related to your use of the services, including the payment of any taxes applicable to your bookings.

    7. Disclaimers

    • No Endorsement: ReceptionHallRentals.com does not endorse any Host, Guest, or venue.
    • "As Is" Basis: The services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
    • Third-Party Services: Our site may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by ReceptionHallRentals.com.

    8. Limitation of Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReceptionHallRentals.com will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the services.

    9. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ReceptionHallRentals.com and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your access to or use of the services or your violation of these Terms.

    10. Modifications to Terms

    ReceptionHallRentals.com reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make changes, we will post the revised Terms on the website and update the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

    These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Somerset, Pennsylvania.

    12. General Provisions

    • Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and ReceptionHallRentals.com regarding the use of the services.
    • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
    • Waiver: No waiver of any term of these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term.

    13. Account Deletion

    You may request to delete your account at any time. However, account deletion is not permitted if you have any upcoming or ongoing bookings. Once all bookings are completed or cancelled, you may proceed with your account deletion request.

    Welcome to ReceptionHallRentals.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and services as a Venue Host (“Host”). By accessing or using our platform, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms. Please review them carefully before proceeding.

    1. Acceptance of Terms

    By creating an account, listing a venue, or using any service offered by ReceptionHallRentals.com, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Reception Hall Rentals LLC.

    2. Our Services

    ReceptionHallRentals.com operates an online platform connecting Hosts with Guests seeking venues for events. We do not own, manage, or operate any venue listed on the site. We act solely as an intermediary to facilitate bookings and payments between Hosts and Guests.

    3. Eligibility

    You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use our services. By using the platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

    4. Account Registration & Security

    • Registration: To access certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information and to keep your account details current.
    • Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for losses resulting from your failure to secure your account.

    5. Host Responsibilities & Pricing

    • Venue Listings: Hosts may list venues with detailed descriptions, images, pricing, and availability. You must ensure all listing information is accurate, current, and truthful.
    • Host Obligations: As a Host, you are solely responsible for:
      • Maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, permits, and safety codes.
      • Ensuring your venue is safe, clean, and as described in your listing.
      • Honoring all confirmed bookings and communicating professionally with Guests.
      • Maintaining insurance coverage (see Section 8).
      • Pricing Integrity: You may not offer lower rates for the same venue and dates outside the platform. All special offers must be managed through ReceptionHallRentals.com.
    • Fees: A commission of 5% of the total booking price plus a $50 flat fee applies to each confirmed booking, in addition to Stripe payment processing fees. These are automatically deducted from your payout.
    • Payouts: Payouts are initiated on the event start date and may take up to three (3) business days to reach your account. Delays may occur due to fraud checks, disputes, or bank processing times. The Venue/Host is responsible for the Stripe transfer/payout fee of 0.25%, which will be deducted from your final payout.
    • Suspension: We may suspend or terminate accounts for fraud, policy violations, or repeated Guest complaints.

    6. Payments, Taxes, & Financial Terms

    • Payment Processing: We use Stripe to process payments securely. Your use of Stripe is subject to Stripe’s Terms of Service.
    • Taxes: Hosts are responsible for understanding and fulfilling their tax obligations. In some jurisdictions, ReceptionHallRentals.com may collect and remit sales tax on your behalf, currently limited to Pennsylvania, USA.
    • Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond their control, such as natural disasters, government actions, or pandemics.

    7. Independent Contractor Relationship

    Hosts act as independent contractors and not employees, agents, or partners of Reception Hall Rentals LLC. We do not control or manage your business operations or venue management decisions.

    8. Insurance Requirements

    Hosts must obtain and maintain appropriate liability insurance for their venues. ReceptionHallRentals.com does not provide or arrange insurance for Hosts or Guests. Proof of insurance may be requested at any time.

    9. Prohibited Activities

    • Listing venues that violate local laws, zoning regulations, or building codes.
    • Providing false or misleading information about a venue.
    • Discriminating against Guests based on any protected characteristic.
    • Accepting payments outside the platform for bookings initiated through ReceptionHallRentals.com.
    • Engaging in any unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading activities.

    10. Host Cancellations

    Hosts who cancel confirmed bookings may face penalties, including suspension, listing removal, or forfeiture of fees. Hosts must comply with their stated cancellation policy, visible to Guests during booking.

    11. User-Generated Content

    • Ownership: You retain ownership of your uploaded content but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it for operating and promoting the platform.
    • Responsibility: You represent that your content is lawful and that you have all necessary rights to share it.
    • Removal: We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our standards, at our sole discretion.

    12. Verification & Fraud Prevention

    We may verify the identity of Hosts or the ownership of venues at our discretion. Verification does not guarantee legitimacy. Any fraudulent activity will result in immediate termination.

    13. Privacy Policy

    Your use of our services is governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

    14. Disclaimers

    • No Endorsement: We do not endorse any Host, Guest, or venue listed on the platform.
    • “As-Is” Service: All services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
    • Third-Party Links: We are not responsible for third-party websites or services linked through our platform.

    15. Limitation of Liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, ReceptionHallRentals.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability under these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid to us by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

    16. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Reception Hall Rentals LLC, its affiliates, and employees from any claims or damages arising from your use of the platform, your listings, or your interactions with Guests.

    17. Dispute Resolution Between Hosts & Guests

    Any disputes regarding bookings, venue conditions, or refunds must be resolved directly between the Host and Guest. ReceptionHallRentals.com is not a party to these agreements but may facilitate communication where necessary.

    18. Modification of Terms

    We may update or revise these Terms at any time. Changes become effective upon posting, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

    19. Service Availability

    While we strive for reliable uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Temporary downtime may occur for maintenance or unforeseen technical issues.

    20. Termination

    We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for any violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, or actions harmful to the platform’s integrity.

    21. Electronic Communications

    By using our services, you consent to receive communications electronically, including emails and notifications from ReceptionHallRentals.com.

    22. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

    These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

    23. General Provisions

    • Entire Agreement: These Terms represent the full agreement between you and ReceptionHallRentals.com.
    • Severability: If any provision is held invalid, the remainder will continue in effect.
    • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any term shall not constitute a waiver of that term or any other provision.

    24. Account Deletion

    You may request account deletion at any time. However, deletion cannot proceed if you have active or upcoming bookings. Once all bookings are resolved, your request will be processed.
